Patch, reline or replace?
A resin patch can seal a short crack or failed joint from inside the drain. A full liner creates a new pipe wall through a longer damaged section. Both are no-dig repairs when access and pipe condition allow.
Excavation is usually better for a crushed pipe, severe deformation, a badly displaced section or a fault that cannot be reached internally. Digging is also needed when the drain must be rerouted.
The cheapest repair is not always the one with the lowest first price. The aim is a suitable repair that deals with the cause and avoids repeat visits.
